Hello! I'm Raven and I'm a black Labrador Retriever. I'm only young and this is my first website so it may be a little rough around the edges - my ploddy paws aren't all that great at typing either.
I live in Scotland - a fantastic place if, like me, you love the outdoors. There are so many different places to explore all with their own smells, but at the moment my favourite places are the woods and forests around my house. I'm allowed to chase around after the rabbits and squirrels that I see, but I have to leave the deer alone. My people seem to enjoy our walks as well, but they don't seem to like the mud as much as me!
When I'm old enough I'm hoping to get involved in the local agility club. One of my friends is a border collie and he has such fun there - although he tells me there aren't many labradors there and I might not be as good as the rest of them. I don't think I care though, it looks easy enough. A bit of jumping, running, I'm sure I can manage that. The other thing I would like to try are the working tests. I'm not a working gundog and my people don't shoot, but I come from working lines so I wouldn't mind giving it a go. I do spend most of the time with my nose to the ground, and love finding things and fetching my ball. The only problem is I'm told I'm not allowed to eat the things I find....
If you want to have a look around, I've put a whole list of interesting stuff happening on my 'Events' page. The 'Links' page is cool too, all my favourite places to surf (and shop!). Hope you enjoy the pictures I've put up of me and my friends!
I have definitely been neglecting this site lately – I haven’t managed to update the events list since September. I don’t think we’ve been particularly busy, although we did seem to do quite a bit of jaunting in November. I visited my aunties at my holiday home for the first time, and I made my people feel reeeeaally guilty for taking me there by doing my distressed dog impression. However, once their back was turned I had a lovely time being spoilt by the ladies and getting to spend time with so many other dogs.
Before that, I also went to see my cousin Clyde again. I had memories of the garden and hills and couldn’t wait to get there, but imagine my horror to find he had a new little brother who had no manners whatsoever and kept chasing my tail and biting my bum. And when I’d had enough and tried to defend myself, the pair of them ganged up on me, so I felt quite left out. All my people did was laugh and tell me that I shouldn’t complain too much since that was the way I behaved when I was that age.
Signs of Christmas are around again, the house has become quite sparkly once more and my mum keeps baking things which smell great but I’m not allowed to eat. However, last week I was told it was my birthday and I was given some yummy muffins as a treat with my dinner. I know that some went into the freezer, so I’m going to be a good boy for the rest of the month just in case Santa’s watching.
Merry Christmas, and a waggy new year to everyone

I have finally pulled my finger out and updated the events page - I know I missed a lot of good stuff, including Crufts, but it's now up-to-date up to the beginning of July so check it out!
